How to configure MSN with Proxy servers

1. Click on the Tools and then choose Options as shown below
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Connection
   Click on the Advanced Settings button
   
   
   
   
   
3. As shown in the image below:
   
   • Put a check in the box for SOCKS version 5
   • Type in the proxy ip address in the Socks 5 Server.
   • Type in the proxy Port.
   • Enter your proxy user name and password (if any) in the Socks 5 User ID and password section.
     
     
     
     
     
     
4. Click on the Test SOCKS 5 Connection button.
   Click on OK until you are back to the main MSN screen.
   Restart your MSN and reconnect. It will now be using the socks 5 proxy.
